3rd Annual “Jingle Mingle on Main”

Marshall  – Get in the holiday spirit with the downtown Marshall Association and the Madison County Arts Council as they host the third annual Jingle Mingle on Main (formerly known as The Christmas Crawl). The Jingle Mingle on Main will take place in downtown Marshall on Friday, December 14. Festivities begin at 5 pm and last until 9 pm.

Numerous businesses will feature live music and stay open late allowing people to shop for the holidays well into the evening. For the third year in a row the Madison County Arts Council Holiday Sale will offer a Friday night ‘Jingle Mingle’ sale event featuring 23 local artists from 4 – 9 pm. The Arts Council Holiday Sale will continue on Saturday for the ‘Daytime Mega-Market’ from 10am-3pm. The Sale will be housed at 62 South Main Street in the former Wells Fargo building.

Rumor has it that Santa will be downtown making a list and checking it twice, so be sure to find him as he ho-ho-ho‘s through the shops. You can also learn to play dreidel at Zuma Coffee which will host an early Hanukkah celebration. Also on the menu is the Brush Creek Elementary School Choir in front of the Court House at 6pm. Be sure to wear your ugliest Christmas sweater and join in the Ugly Sweater Strut at Zuma Coffee at starting at 6:30pm (please sign up in advance).

The winner of the Christmas window display contest will also be announced this night, the winner of the contest will receive the traveling trophy, a Charlie Brown Christmas tree, made by Brian Leonard of Appalachian Ironworks.
